General
1.Q:What is GT3?

5.Q:How do I sign up?
A:Click right here to get your free GT3 TIMES.com account.

6.Q:Can I change my personal information after I sign up?
A:Yes. First log into the system, then go to the Edit Account page.

7.Q:How do I change my username?
A:If you want a new username, then you need to create a new account with that username.

8.Q:I tried logging in, but it doesn't work for me. Why not?
A:All usernames and passwords are case-sensitive and must be typed exactly as you created them. In order to log into the system, your web browser must support cookies and allow them to be stored on your computer. If you already have cookies enabled and are still having problems, please contact us for support.

9.Q:Why are some of my links grayed-out?
A:Because you have not logged into the system as a registered GT3 TIMES.com user.

Submitting Times
10.Q:How many Lap/Race/License times may I submit?
A:As many as you wish. Your best times with each car will be stored for every track and race, in addition to your best time for each license test.

11.Q:If I made a mistake while submitting, can I edit my time?
A:Yes. Simply resubmit your time for that same track/race/license and your previous entry with that car will be updated.

12.Q:Why do I need to choose an engine type?
A:Due to the wide range of cars available in GT3, it is necessary to rank them according to their engine types. Some engine classes will consistently perform better than others, but the playing field is leveled when we divide the cars into their respective engine categories. This produces more accurate competition for drivers of all car types.

13.Q:Why is there a "Special" (SP) engine class?
A:Although all cars in GT3 fall into a specific engine category, there a few vehicles that are still simply too powerful to be ranked among cars with similar engine types. For example, the F094/S (F1 car) is built with a Mid Engine/Rear Wheel Drive (MR), but due to its incredible power, it now belongs to the Special (SP) engine class. This allows for better competition for both F1 and MR drivers.

14.Q:How is my average ranking calculated?
A:A driver's average ranking is calculated strictly by their engine class rankings. The combined "all engine types" category is not used to calculate these rankings.

15.Q:What are the trophy icons for?
A:All first, second, and third place times are awarded a gold, silver, and bronze trophy respectively. The number of trophies earned by a driver is displayed on their Driver Data page. Trophies for a track/race/license are awarded in each engine class and in the combined "all engines types" class.

My Times
16.Q:How can I view a driver's most recently submitted times?
A:Go to your My Times page. Enter their username in the "view driver" box, and then press the button to view all of their submitted times. Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose Total Lap Times, Total Race Times, or Total License Times. Then click the Date column to sort these times from most recent to oldest.

Forums
17.Q:What's the deal with the forums?
A:The GT3 TIMES.com Forums are currently in development and are scheduled to be available shortly. Please check back soon. Once the Forums have been opened, your link to them will be activated as well.

Miscellaneous
18.Q:Couldn't I just lie about my times?
A:Sure, but what's the point? There is no million-dollar prize for having the best average ranking here at GT3 TIMES.com. This site is dedicated to serious racing fans everywhere who want to truly see how good they are behind the wheel.

19.Q:What should I do if I find a suspicious time?
A:First, contact the driver either by email, chat, or private message in the Forums (*coming soon*) asking him/her about the time in question. Should you still have reason to doubt the legitimacy of the submitted time, then email abuse@gt3times.com with the username and necessary information.

20.Q:Why aren't some cars/tracks/races listed?
A:Being the brilliant racing title that it is, GT3 is full of many surprises such as hidden cars and races that will take some time to discover. Please be patient as we continue to update the database to reflect the most current information from the game.

21.Q:You don't list my controller -- could you please add it?
A:Definitely. If you race with a controller that is not listed on GT3 TIMES.com when submitting your times, then please contact us so that we can include it as a selectable choice.

22.Q:When I edit my account, why won't it accept my image URL?
A:The "Image URL" field on your Edit Account page allows you to specify the remote path of an image that you would like to insert into your Driver Data page. For example:

http://gt3.gttimes.com/images/gt3times/logosm.gif

The image must be a file type of .JPG, .GIF, or .PNG. The maximum allowed size (resolution) for the image is 400x170 (400 pixels wide by 170 pixels high). If you need help resizing or cropping an image, we recommend downloading the shareware version of LView Pro 2001 (for Windows).

23.Q:Why am I not racing?
A:Good question.
